Interview with Fr. Michael Gaitley MIC (Marians of the Immaculate Conception)

1. Why is Divine Mercy so relevant right now in our culture?
Because our culture is going to pot. Literally! I just finished giving a talk in Colorado, and my host reminded me that the state, along with others, had recently legalized pot. That, for me, was yet another sign of the downward slide of our culture. People may say, "Oh, it's just pot." But that's the thing: We already live in a culture of addiction and bondage to substances and sin. The last thing we need is more drugs!

So many of us are stressed out, anxious, frightened, and depressed. The suicide rate is higher than ever. In some ways, we're living in a time of unprecedented evil. The good news is that God is not outdone by evil, and that in a time of extraordinary evil, God offers extraordinary grace. (See Rom 5:20.) This good news is the message of Divine Mercy. It's a prophetic message for our time whereby God wants to tell us, "Be not afraid! My mercy is more powerful than evil. Turn to me. Trust in me. I long to give you a peace that the world cannot give."

Divine Mercy for Life - In atonement for the sins of abortion and our sins against the Culture of Life

Please Pray 5 Chaplets of Divine Mercy daily in honour of the five wounds of Jesus in atonement for the sins of abortion throughout the world and in atonement for our sins against the Culture of Life.

Pray for 33 Days starting today up until 15th August, the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady.

Promises of Jesus to us for Praying the Chaplet

"Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls who say this Chaplet. Write down these words, my daughter. Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize my unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of my mercy; let them profit from the blood and water
which gushed forth for them"
(Diary, 848) .

"Say unceasingly the Chaplet that I have taught you. Whoever will recite it, they will receive great mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy" (Diary, 687).

If you cannot manage five, pray it three times or at least once daily because abortion is a cruel and barbaric act against a baby in the womb, which also hurts the mother and hurts the whole of society and we will all be held to account by the Lord for what we did or did not do to stop it and we must also make atonement for own sins against the Culture of Life and for not witnessing to
the Gospel of Life.

We also give Thanks and Praise to God, the Lord of all Life
for the Gift of Life and all His Creation

GOD'S MERCY A Universal Hope - Part I

Please reach out to others in your Parish.  Set up a Divine Mercy prayer group even with just one other person.  Do not allow  your own weaknesses or inadequacies to stop you.  The Lord will do the work when you step out in faith.  Pray for your Parish and for your Priests.

Any Divine Mercy prayer group or apostolate belongs to Jesus not to the individuals involved.  It is His work. We should always rejoice when others try to spread the Divine Mercy of Jesus and remember where we stand before God.    If we know about the Divine Mercy we have a responsibility to spread it to others and to help Jesus save souls. God bless you.

Prayer to Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament - St. Faustina

I adore You, Lord and Creator, hidden in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I adore You for all the works of Your hands, that reveal to me so much wisdom, goodness and mercy, O Lord. You have spread so much beauty over the earth and it tells me about Your beauty, even though these beautiful things are but a faint reflection of You, incomprehensible Beauty. And although You have hidden Yourself and concealed Your beauty, my eye, enlightened by faith, reaches You and my soul recognizes its Creator, its Highest Good, and my heart is completely immersed in prayer of adoration.

My Lord and Creator, Your goodness encourages me to converse with You. Your mercy abolishes the chasm which separates the Creator from the creature. To converse with You, O Lord, is the delight of my heart. In You I find everything that my heart could desire. Here You light illumines my mind, enabling it to know You more and more deeply. Here streams of graces flow down upon my heart. Here my soul draws eternal life. O my Lord and Creator, You alone, beyond all these gifts, give Your own self to me and unite Yourself intimately with Your miserable creature.

O Christ, let my greatest delight be to see You loved and Your praise and glory proclaimed, especially the honor of Your mercy. O Christ, let me glorify Your goodness and mercy to the last moment of my life, with every drop of my blood and every beat of my heart. Would that I be transformed into a hymn of adoration of You. When I find myself on my deathbed, may the last beat of my heart be a loving hymn glorifying Your unfathomable mercy. Amen.

Today is the Great Feast of Corpus Christi 2nd June

Praying for the Protection of Life in Ireland

Day 5 of the

40 Days Prayer and Fasting

for the Protection of the Unborn
against abortion legislation in Ireland

Please continue to
Pray with an attitude of
Trust, Faith and Hope
in God who can do the impossible.

Scripture Reflections:

Matthew 18: 6-7
If any of you should cause one of these
little ones who believe in me to stumble and fall,
it would be better for you to be thrown into
the sea with a great millstone around your neck.

Matthew 18: 10
See that you do not despise any of these little ones,
for I tell you: their angels in Heaven continually
see the face of my Heavenly Father.

Jesus told St. Faustina, "I desire that you know more profoundly the love that burns in My Heart for souls, and you will understand this when you meditate upon My Passion. Call upon My mercy on behalf of sinners; I desire their salvation. When you say this prayer, with a contrite heart and with faith on behalf of some sinner, I will give him the grace of conversion. This is the prayer: “O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us, I trust in You.(Diary 186-187)

Please support us in Prayer and Penance for 40 Days to keep abortion out of Ireland.

Archbishop Eamon Martin, Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Armagh has asked us to support this important initiative at his homily in Dundalk, Co. Louth, when he said the followiing:

Not long before he died, Pope John Paul told the young people in Rome, ‘There is no authentic celebration or adoration of the Eucharist that does not lead to mission’.  In a world where human life itself is under attack, we have a particular and critical mission.  The other day a member of the Apostolate of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration told me – I am offering up my holy hour each week before the Blessed Sacrament so that, even at this late stage, the government may have a change of heart and not introduce legislation for abortion into our country.

The organisation ‘Precious Life’ is calling on all of us to offer forty days of prayer and fasting from the 12 May for the protection of unborn children in this country. I support these initiatives, because if we are in ‘communion’ with Christ, the Bread of Life, at Mass or during adoration, then we are also ‘commissioned’ to bring the Good News about Life out there into our community. How can we be in communion with the Bread of Life at Mass or here tonight and not speak the ‘Gospel of Life’ in our daily lives, especially these days when unborn human life is under such a direct threat in our country?

Above from:  Catholic Ireland News - Archbishop Eamon Martin Address in Dundalk

If you are on Facebook please go to Precious Life Facebook and like their page and give them your support.  They are a wonderful organisation that not only acts against abortion but also encourages Prayer and Penance which is vital against the spirits of darkness in abortion and euthanasia.

We can pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet every day against this evil and pray it a few times a day during this forty days especially along with other prayers.
Nothing is impossible to God.
Have Faith and Trust in Him who can do all things.

Abortion Legislation for Ireland.......Please Pray with us and Trust in Gods Divine Mercy to end abortion worldwide

A PRO-LIFE group of women who regret their abortions is receiving support in its bid to address the Oireachtas committee examining the X Case legislation.

The Oireachtas Health Committee will decide this week who to invite as witnesses before its hearings on the abortion legislation.

Fine Gael TD Billy Timmins has written to the committee asking it to allow the 'Women Hurt' organisation to appear before it as it considers the Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill.

A campaign run by the group, highlighting a series of women's regrets after having an abortion, caused controversy and a spat with the National Women's Council of Ireland.

Mr Timmins said it was a "weakness" in the submissions by the committee when it held hearings on the Expert Group on Abortion report that it did not hear from the women.

Please pray for these women who have a powerful voice that they will be heard at these hearings.  God bless you.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fount of Mercy for us, I Trust in You.   Jesus I Trust in You.
